NOTE:  Zarcor, is an independent company and has no government affiliation.  The mission of FloatPlanPlus is to make boating safer by gathering boater information in a central location and to make it available to SAR agencies (including the USCG) upon request.

The US Coast Guard recommends that you file a float Plan when you go sailing, fishing, or boating.  Airplane pilots have filed flight plans for years and have proven their value.  A pilot can file a flight plan directly with the FAA, but a boater cannot file a float plan directly with the USCG.  The USCG recommends that boaters leave a plan with a friend, who will notify the proper officials in case of an emergency

Every year the USCG conducts approximately 40,000 search and rescue operations.  Last year about 800 boater's lives were lost.  The majority of lives were lost prior to CG notification.  Most important, 4,000 lives were saved during USCG Search and Rescue operations.

FloatPlanPlus.com is a free service from ZARCOR, which makes it easy to ensure that information about you, and your trip is available to the USCG or other rescue agencies, in case of an emergency.

This FREE service is extremely simple to use.  Step #1 - Become a lifetime member by registering your boating profile This is required only once, and upon completion, you will receive numerous marine related discounts.  Step #2 - Submit an itinerary whenever you feel someone should know your boating plans.
